Successful commissioning of the new photovoltaic system

On November 8, 2024, a new photovoltaic system was successfully commissioned at Henke-Sass Wolf.

With a total capacity of 332 kWp and 778 solar modules, the system is expected to generate 316.000 kWh of electricity per year, approximately 95% will be used directly in the company. This covers around 10% of the total electricity requirement. Thanks to the optimized east-west orientation of the solar modules, the system efficiently uses solar energy throughout the day, resulting in maximum yield. In total, the system’s output could supply electricity to about 90 households.

The project was realized in close cooperation with the Stadtwerke Tuttlingen and the company Solarcomplex. Despite numerous bureaucratic and technical challenges - such as the connection to the combined heat and power plant and installing the technology - the project was completed successfully. The installation, including the laying of approximately 6,600 meters of cable, was completed in an impressively short period of just four weeks.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their excellent cooperation and the successful completion of the project: Peter Unger (Solarcomplex), Gerd Hertle (Stadtwerke Tuttlingen) Michael Class (Stadtwerke Tuttlingen), Kevin Haus (Stadtwerke Tuttlingen) and Björn Wildmann (Henke-Sass, Wolf).

With this photovoltaic system, we are making a significant contribution to our sustainable energy supply and sending out another important message about the responsible use of natural resources.
